This year`s CEEAMS Conference was looking into the migration experiences in CEE which have intensified and diversified especially after the fall of the Communist in 1989.
The annual conference of the (CEEAMS) was held in Heiligenkreuz.
With encouragement from the International Association for Mission Studies (IAMS) NIME is hosting the European meeting in 2014. The theme for our 2014 conference is ‘Mission in the Context of Inequalities’.
Candidates for the Steering Committee – Dorottya Nagy and Pavol Bargar – accepted the candidature and were elected anonymously as new members of the Steering Committee.
A major missiological event took place, namely the quadrennial IAMS assembly and conference. Some of the CEEAMS members also participated in this event.

The main events of the first day of the conference were the General Assembly and first exchange of information organized in the form of short and reflective case studies connected to countries.

The experience the Veliko Tarnovo diocese allowed the organisers of the Orthodox mission network to choose this diocese to host the Second international consultation on Orthodox mission.
The theme chosen for the 2009 CEEAMS (the Central and Eastern European Association for Mission Studies) was ‘Dialogue and the Mission of the Church in Central and Eastern Europe’.
